Kim Romain is an Massachusetts born, Arizona raised, now Evanston-based multidisciplinary artist. Her photography, collage, paintings, and jewelry have been featured in various businesses and art shows around the Chicagoland area for over eleven years. In addition, she has won several awards for her photography throughout the Midwest and United States.
Kim creates her artwork as a way to process and express her own thoughts and feelings in response to the world around me. She is particularly inspired by elements of nature and the cosmos, with the hope that through sharing her experiences, a spark is created in someone else, becoming a catalyst to deepen their own journey and personal expression.
Her current focus is on abstract acrylic fluid art. Through her exploration of materials, she explores the interconnectedness and reactivity of the elements she chooses to utilize. It is a constant reminder of how we, as human beings, are interconnected with and reactive to the elements that we come into contact with every day, including elements of nature and humanity.
